Fall Training Video by NIRE productions

We are so excited with how the fall training video turned out. It was filmed and produced by our very dear friend Erin Trochim of NIRE Productions (http://tiny.cc/qu4x5w).

One of the things I really appreciate about working with Erin is her vision. She has a clear idea of theme and how her projects will feel. But is able to work in such a way that they whole time she was filming I was just going about an average day at the kennel. We talked about my ideas, and what Dan and I wanted to show and share about our lives with the dogs. And everyone involved in the project agreed that dogs are what the focus needed to be on. But she had a very clear idea of how this project would work, and the technical skill to make it happen.

Erin was uniquely qualified for the task of capturing the Dew Claw dogs. She and her partner Matt have been an invaluable help to Dan and I. They are avid ski-jorers who have dogs but will add Dew Claw dogs for fun, in addition to skiing from the kennel they will also run teams with us, help care for the dogs, and even house-sit, no small task around here.  They knows theses dogs, their quirks and personalities. As I watch this video that is very apparent to me. The dogs were completely comfortable with Erin filming up close in the yard and on the trail. She caught Yuki’s playful dart & stare, Cricket’s bouncing enthusiasm, Lubock’s aloof confidence, and as she pans the team you can see the dogs trying to get their faces in her camera, “hey Erin what’cha doing?” She captured my kids the way I see them every day, and created this wonderful ‘behind the scenes’ look at what goes into getting the team ready for the race season ahead.

From all of us at Dew Claw mush thanks to NIRE for the giving us the opportunity to share our fall training with our friends and everyone supporting us – Team Dew Claw.
