So what did we do today at Dew Claw? Well we got out in the sunshine and had some serious fun. And you are in luck, since I decided to grab my camera this morning and take photos throughout the day. Now there is no way these photos do justice to the beauty that was all around me, but hopefully they will give you a little taste of what we saw.
Jasper and Opal spent a good part of the day outside enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Dogs got fed 3 times, a nice breakfast, a lovely frozen fish snack during the warmest part of the day between runs, and a meal of tripe after the second run. Then they finished the day with a beaver snack after the humans enjoyed dinner out with friends. I got 2 teams of race dogs out for a run. Still looking closely at everyone trying to decide which dogs will join me on the journey to Nome this year. And Victoria got the “V Team” out as well. Sadly that I did not get photos of her in action, as she went running with her team while I was out with the race dogs. All in all I could not ask for a better day.
And as I was out enjoying the beautiful light and the spectacular country I am fortunate to call home there was one song that kept running through my head…
Good Day Sunshine, so go ahead, click the link and cue it up as your background music to what I hope will be an enjoyable photo journey of my day.
