drum roll please ~ Ta Da

Well it took some time, and there is always room for improvement, but; the new Dew Claw Kennel website is up and running! We felt like the website and blog needed to learn to play better together. Our hope is to have our website as the home of Dew Claw Kennel, and use the blog posts to share more updates, current news, Jodi’s random ramblings, and kennel photos. The Q&A section will hopefully be of special interest to students and fans wanting to learn more about what goes into preparing for and running distance races with our dogs. We have also updated the selection of gear at out Dew Claw Store.

Now is also the time we start our fundraising for the 2012-13 race season. As always we invite everyone and anyone to join us for another winter of adventure with dogs & become a member of Team Dew Claw. We each have our own special gifts to bring to the table in forming a successful team, and here at Dew Claw we value all team members (canine and human). Team Dew Claw members, their encouragement and support are a huge part of what makes it possible for us to participate in world class events like the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest. We are very lucky at Dew Claw to have such wonderful folks working with us! Thank You!

In a working dog team there some dogs that are just driven, they rise to positions of leadership or provide extreme motivation. Just like these trail breaking dogs, some friends of Dew Claw have asked how they can do more. So this year we are introducing a new “Checkpoint Sponsor” program for your consideration.

You can see checkpoints are filling up already, very exciting to see people already getting involved. In addition to our heart-felt thanks, being posted on our kennel website & thanked on race website, we have a special ‘Thank You‘ gift planned for our 2012 Iditarod Checkpoint sponsors. I don’t want to spill all the beans, but the custom photo book we have planned should be wonderful.  We invite you to learn more about the Checkpoint Sponsor program.

And keep checking back, as there is lots more planned at Dew Claw this summer.
